Breeders Cup Looming; Good Racing this Weekend at Belmont, Keeneland, Hawthorne

With the Breeders Cup getting ever closer, now only two weeks away, you can expect that major graded stakes races would die down in the few weeks, and they have. There are only few graded races this weekend, but Belmont and Keeneland continue to have full fields, and there are dozens of stakes races valued at $100k or over.

Last week, 1 of our free spotlight race grids was for the $400k Oklahoma Derby at Remington. While the Grid whiffed on the 25-1 Oaks winner, along with 96% of the betting population, it nailed the OK Derby with the top power horse winning at 5-1, followed by top stamina at 7-1, then the even money (and beatable) favorite, and the top speed / 2nd power horse at 18-1. $1 Superfecta paid $1300 and easily!

This weekend kicks off with the Valley View G3 at Keeneland, going off any minute now, and Keeneland also hosts the G2 Raven Run on Saturday. Delta Downs will have the Lafitte $200k for 2yo’s, Foxbrook will have some major hurdles including a NSA-1.

Also on Saturday, Belmont will run 7 stakes of at least $100k, headlined by the Empire Classic, and Hawthorne will have 5 races of $100k are more. Free Grid will be provided for NY so check back tomorrow at:http://www.horseracebetwin.com/picks

Good luck and have a great weekend!

Yours in winning
