Saratoga hosts the legendary Travers G1 stakes as their summer meet draws to a close with big graded stakes fireworks, including the Test G1, Kings Bishop G1, and Ballston Spa G2.
These 4 races also represent an all-graded-stakes pick 4 which has a $1 million pool guaranteed. Most people like us began handicapping this card a couple days beforehand.
So far there are a few standout horses in each field which offer no odds, but there are also good long shots that have a chance such as Amie’s Dini in the Test and Laurie’s Rocket in the Bishop.
The Travers itself looks wide open, and Alpha, while a great horse, is a very beatable favorite considering today’s surface and distance.
