With the carryover approacing a half million, this could get very interesting. The purse will likely hit $2 million on Thursday after wagering.
If the Pick 6 isn’t hit on Thursday, we’d be looking at a Day 1 Breeders Cup Pick 6 pool of over $5 million. If it weren’t hit on Friday, it would certainly set a record Pick 6 pool for Day 2 of the Breeders Cup.
But let’s start with Thursday and try to hit it anyway. Santa Anita has a standard weekday 8 race card with almost 80 horses entered, but the Pick 6 makes it very interesting.
