The Kantharos colt, favored at 4-5, delivered a strong and gutsy performance for Jorge Navarro in an epic stretch run battle with British bred 6-1 Muarrab, who finally nosed him out at the wire.

It was X Y Jet’s first defeat after 5 straight wins, including 3 dominating stakes wins at Gulfstream Park. Muarrab has been in Dubai for most of his career and comes off a G3 win at Meydan.
