Santa Anita Free Picks Monday Oct.14 Columbus Day Big Pick 6 Carryover $430k
Santa Anita has a large Pick 6 carryover of $430K today on Columbus Day, and being that it’s a holiday, the purse will easily surpass $1 Million and perhaps reach $1.5 million based on past experience.
The feature race is the Speakeasy $100k stakes at 6f for 2yo’s, but none of them of them are very fast. More interesting is the prior race, an OCM75k for 3up featuring 2 Eddington’s and a Grindstone in the chalk. These colts are much faster.
Unfortunately neither of these races are in the Pick 6 sequence, which doesn’t start until race 5 at 3PM PT, 6PM ET. This promises to be a very challenging P6, with an average of almost 12 horses per race entered pre-scratch time, meaning it could carryover again.
