The 2023 Kentucky Derby Championship Series Points are earned in Derby prep races which began with the September 2022 Iroquois G3 at Churchill Downs, and ended with the April 15 Lexington G3 at Keeneland.

Point standings are are final, but the actual contestants are not. As always, there will be defections and withdrawals between now and the first Saturday of May. But this is how they stand now. Obviously anyone with less than 45 points is unlikely to get a post.
Forte regained the top spot after an impressive closing move in the Grade 1 Florida Derby on April 1 for Todd Pletcher, Irad Ortiz, and Repole and St. Elias stables.
