Today features a key 3yo race in the Lecomte at the Fairgrounds in Louisiana. Leading the field as the morning line favorite is Mo Tom at 7-2. The son of Uncle Mo, trained by Tom Amoss, checked in at number 12 in the end of year Derby Dozen, after finishing 3rd in the Kentucky Jockey Club G2 2 lengths behind Airoforce and Mor Spirit, the 4th and 5th ranked 3yo’s coming into the year.

Competition will be offered from Fish Trappe Road, a front runner coming off a 1 length loss in his first route race, a $250k Sleepy Hollow at Belmont in October. Uncle Walker, also by Uncle Mo, is a stalker coming off a win and narrow loss but looks to improve for Michael Maker this year. Those two are 6-1. Tiznoble, Destin, and Tom’s Ready will also contend in a nice 15 horse field.
