Preakness?
1st: top power and speed horse
2nd: obvious Derby winner, fav, and top PF last out
3rd: wise guy horse
4th: top LP/ stamina and obvious 2d public choice
What about the other races?
Well I can say that most of them were in the top 2 of the 3 major categories. Those that weren’t: Race 1 fringe contender, Race 3 2nd LP and favorite, Race 4 2nd LP horse, and Race 5 horse returning to turf with best prior turf performance figure. With 13 races the only thing holding people back from profiting off these numbers were the incessance of favorites from Races 6-11 which was ridiculous. There was just no value. Early races had a little value with the aforementioned long shots.
But the Grid indicated all of them 1 way or another.
