Kelly Tough proved tough enough in 9f MSW $50k at Gulfstream

In other Maiden Special Weight $50k news at Gulfstream Park today, Kelly Tough by Quality Road, won a 9 furlong race for 3yos.
Edward Plesa was pleased by his performance, as he got by the field of 10 other promising 3yo’s some of which have Kentucky Derby aspirations.
Also in the money were Happy’s Causeway, Majesto, and Toughest ‘Ombre. Time will tell if any of these continue into the run for the roses, but the championship series doesn’t start until late in Feb.
