Wednesday, November 11.  Zia Park has a rare nice midweek card today with the New Mexico Classic Cup, a series of 8 stakes races with $400k in purse money available.  It’s like their own little Breeders’ Cup with shorter fields, talent, and purses.  But it’s still good racing.

Good value here if the field stays at 12.  Top LP at 15-1.  Not much speed so 8 and 9 added to mix.

Short field of 6, better off not betting except straight exotics. Verticals use 1 and 2 for sure.

Ah, this is more like it. I got a 12-1 and 20-1 for my top 2.  Great value here.  I love 2yo racing.

Lots of value here. Hard to see 6 not winning but kinda wide open after that.

One caveat to all the picks.  They’re assuming the track is playing somewhat fairly and a lot of LP picks were made.  If it’s favoring speed early, put more emphasis on EP and the E/EP6 and up.  It’s been a year since I bet Zia so I can’t remember how it normally plays.
