Friday, July 16, 2021.  Del Mar’s long awaited opening day is here, 1 day after Saratoga, but it will be worth the wait.  The first post is at 5PM ET so that should get a lot of the rest of the country in on the action and inject a lot of handle money.  Obviously there are no carryovers.

Meantime, without a lengthy discussion I’ll throw out my top 3 initial picks. Keep an eye out for long shot specials (LSS).  These are good money when they hit the board. They only qualify  as LSS if the ML odds are 8-1 or greater. Because a long shot is not 5-1 like some idiots claim.

These picks are made without any knowledge of how the tracks will play today, so keep that in mind.  But that should help you.  There are no guarantees but LSS’s usually hit the board and some even win.
